Model Y Overview

The Tesla Model Y is an all-electric compact SUV that combines the functionality of an SUV with the performance of a sports car. It has a spacious interior that can seat up to seven people and a large cargo area. The Model Y is equipped with advanced technology features, including Autopilot, which allows the car to drive itself on the highway and in certain other situations.

The Model Y comes in three versions: Standard Range, Long Range and Performance. The interior of the car and the space you get are the same. The main difference is the performance and range. In all versions, you can experience a smoother ride than any many other cars. You have a spacious second row and a third row if you go for the 7 seating option, which is currently not available in all countries.

Currently you get with the Model Y the best for your money and we strongly advise you to book a test drive in a Tesla Store or online, so that you can experience the Model Y in city streets or on a freeway. Even the base Model comes with the same interior as the Model Y Performance.

Designing Your Model Y

Starting the configuration of a new vehicle is always exciting and that is not different with the Tesla Model Y- The configurator on the Tesla website makes it easy to customize your Model Y to your liking. With these easy steps, you don't even have to go into a Tesla Store.

Using the Configurator

To start designing your Model Y, head to the Tesla website and click on the "Design Your Model Y" button. From there, you can choose between the Long Range, Standard Range, and Performance models. Determine which price you are willing to pay, the most sold version in China and Europe is the Model Y Standard Range, which offers enough space for an entire family and the purchase price is a lot lower than the Performance version.

Once you've selected your preferred model, you can start customizing your car. The configurator allows you to choose from a range of options, including exterior color, tires, and interior finishes. You can also add features like a tow hitch, adaptive cruise control, and stop sign control.

One important decision you'll need to make when designing your Model Y is which performance level to choose. The Long Range model offers a range of up to 310 miles on a single charge, while the Performance model boasts a 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds. The Standard Range with the cheapest purchase price comes with a range of up to 260 miles.

If you're looking for a balance between range and performance, the Long Range model may be the right choice for you. However, if you want the fastest and most powerful Model Y available, the Performance model is the way to go. On the other hand, the Standard Range comes with the same interior experience and is still very fast.

Other factors to consider when selecting your Model Y performance level include the type of wheels you want. The Performance model comes standard with induction wheels, which offer improved handling and acceleration. However, if you plan to do a lot of driving on city streets, the Gemini wheels may be a better option.

The Standard Range is a Rear-Wheel drive and the cheapest version you can buy, not only that, it is also the most-sold version in many countries.

Cargo Space and Seating Options

Another important consideration when designing your Model Y is space and seating options. The Model Y comes standard with a five-seat interior, but you can also opt for a seven-seat interior if you need more space. The seven-seat option is currently only available in the US and costs another $3000.

The Model Y also offers ample cargo space, with up to 68 cubic feet of storage when the rear seats are folded down. This makes it a great choice for families or anyone who needs to transport large items.

Purchase Process and Tax Credits

Once you've designed your Model Y, the next step is to place your order. The purchase process is straightforward and can be completed entirely online.

One thing to keep in mind is to check your local federal tax credits or discounts for electric vehicles in your country. Tesla usually shows this online when you order online or when you go to a Tesla Store. When buying a Tesla you will also see potential gas savings. Be aware that gas savings compared to the electricity costs always depends on the individual contracts you got.

Overall, designing your Model Y is a fun and rewarding process that allows you to create a car that meets your needs and reflects your personal style. With the help of the Tesla configurator and a little bit of research, you can design the perfect Model Y for you.

This option may be more affordable for some customers, as monthly payments are typically lower than those associated with a loan.

Finally, customers can also take out a loan to finance their Model Y purchase. Tesla offers loans through a variety of lenders, and customers can also choose to finance through their own bank or credit union. It's important to shop around and compare rates to find the best financing option for your specific situation.
